I was really curious about the Old School Hip Hop tracks on Newgrounds. I thought "Hey, I don't see many OSHH tracks on here, let's filter them out so I can hear what others make". And so, I sorted the songs by top rated of the year to find the number one spot occupied by... me! Now, this would make any person quite happy, but it didn't for me.

See, I wouldn't consider my music "the best". I was so eager to here those who would be better than me on this platform, but I found nothing. No one, recently, was better than me at Old School beat production. This kind of crushed my expectations, really. I want old school hip hop to thrive on Newgrounds, but from what I observe, it isn't. That particular song wasn't even that popular!

Guess I just gotta keep doing my best making these beats, until one lucky day it could catch the ears of thousands of users, and maybe encourage people to revisit older hip hop, and maybe get them to encourage those who still hold on to old school to this day.
