Well, definitely unconventional chord progressions.
Sounds pretty lackluster and weird, in a nice way. The part with the organ doesn't sound like it belongs in the song, though. Too "normal" for a somewhat chaotic piano melody. The drums are a bit lacking in my opinion. Doesn't have enough oompf. I like drums with oompf. It sounds like a level of Psychonauts (not as in the actual soundtrack, but from what vibe I feel from the game). I suggest you listen to Alfa Mist, especially his album Antiphon. It's got great jazz progressions and a calm feel, and it's very reminiscent of this track.

Thanks, and have fun!

Thanks so much for the review, man! I agree about the drums. I felt like the piece was missing some energy, so I hobbled them together last-minute. I appreciate the feedback about the organ, too - I guess I didn't think about how it vibed with the piano melody in that way. I'll check out Alfa Mist right now! Thanks again for the review. ;)

Well, first off, I find it hard to consider this Video Game music.
Second of all, the percussion and the bass (?) are pretty weird in my opinion and don't go too well with the melody. The melody itself is alright. I'm sure you can get better.

Thanks, and have fun!

Hey thanks for commenting :)
Sure I'll be improving, as you can see this is my first audio... Nothing out of the ordinary.
My goal is to make a great loop, then thanks for the tips!!!

Glitchy, gritty and bassy. Nice! Keep up like this and I might scout you!

Aha! Quite better! There was a moment that felt weird at the start, like you missed a beat. Well, it might sound a bit generic, but I must say this isn't bad!

Thanks, and have fun!

The beginning was wack, so I guess that deters most users. But, man, I love the core of the song. So chilly. So mellow. Like a surprisingly cold summer day.

Anyways, did you make this? It's a good song, a bit too hasty in the beginning, and what does it have to do with the singing walmart kid? Too many questions...

The piano is clearly some MIDI instrument, and it doesn't sound natural at all. The melody is pretty generic, and it lacks punch. Well, you seem to be able to recreate an EDM song, but you don't really have the full sauce. Listen to more music, pay attention. Watch some tutorials. You can do better.

Thanks, and have fun!

For a first song, this isn't too bad. What's up with that sample? It's so high pitched and unpleasant. The beat doesn't feel punchy enough. I like the melody though, except it doesn't seem to be able to choose a direction. Hope you can only get better than this! Nice start!

Thanks, and have fun!

Thank you for the feedback! I will take your notes and use them. Thank you for honestly giving me feedback. I think your notes will be helpful! :) :)

The melody is really strange, the notes aren't of the same key, and the samples seem random, the vocals don't add much. So many strange moments in the song, it seems like an amalgamate of other songs coupled with the same beat. Also, this is not House. Seems more like HipHop.

SamZM4987 responds:

Thanks for the feedback, I agree, this was not my favorite of my songs I made and I thought the song was Electronic-HipHop, but that wasn't an option. In the future I will try to do better with my music. -SamZM4987

Pro Tip: Do not use vocals if your mic is shit.
There's so much peaking, and it's just not enjoyable. We're 2018 now, hopefully you're better.

Thanks, and have fun.
