The chopping and the drums are really good! I think the 808 should be a bit louder, and the low passes are a bit abrupt for my taste, but this is a seriously great track! Keep up the good work!

Thank you, on the way to perfection! Given your comments)

Lofi isn't really my thing, but this is pretty good! I love the hi-hat and tape stop usage, and the chords remind me of a song that I don't remember, and I find it so mystifying. Maybe chop it up a bit next time, but that's really just what I would've done. Keep on working those great beats!

THATOGANGDEGO responds:

Thank you It was very pleasant to read :3 Try to chop, it will be very nice to listen to this :)

Pretty cool! Intro didn't have a lot though, so it sounded a bit long and stretched out. Drop is good, but it seems to be lacking... something? Maybe a bass, another instrument? Overall, pretty good, but I'm sure it could sound better if it were a little more orchestral.

Lot7even responds:

Dah!

Rah!

I forgot the Sub Bass! What the hell!

Thanks xD

Not sure why ratings are so low! It's not unpleasant, is it? Got a weird, spacy, alien feel to it. Like a religious ritual from another galaxy. I mean, it's not my thing, but it's so interesting and crispy! I wish I had equipment like you :(

Thanks, and have fun!

Midnights-Ocean responds:

lol because it's newgrounds. This place kinda has a reputation for being, well, nuff said. XP

Thanks! Yes sci-fi spiritualism is exactly the kinda thing I go for. I appreciate your kind words and good rating!

PLEASE never let the idea of what equipment you have or have not, limit your creativity. I speak from experience. After 10 years of working in a professional studio full of ridiculously expensive equipment, my rig is peanuts. Laughable really, but I put time, brains and heart into what I do. It shines through sometimes It think, as your comment is evidence. :)

Damn! Not bad! Only thing I'd remove are the annoying "hey"s, I absolutely hate that. Drop is a little lacking in something, maybe another bass? Anyways, pretty good!

Thanks, and have fun!

Lot7even responds:

WElp thanks

Jazzy! I would love to make a remix of this, maybe with some thick bass guitar, punchy drums and glitch effects! It's a bit inconsistent, but otherwise, this is pretty great!

Thanks, and have fun!

lukiaffe responds:

Thanks! Yeah that would be awesome if you could do a remix! I would love to hear it! message me when you're done ;)

Drop is pretty freakin great. I would appreciate it if it had a bit more oomph, I think it lacks bass. Outro is quite long. I'm sure this can be remastered into something better.

Thanks, and have fun!

Lot7even responds:

Yeah, the drop definitely lacks bass. There is no sub-bass xD.

I just don't like sub bass very much. Thanks for the review!

I appreciate the sounds (man I wish I had all these plugins) but they seem like they belong in a more jumpy, loud, edm song, as this sounds rather plain. I understand it's a chill track, but these aren't chill sounds (plus, isn't tropical house a pumpy genre anyways?). I hate the kick, it really doesn't fit. Needs more drum diversity. The drops are rather weak. They seem out of place, and you should get better at mixing. But you're on the right track! Keep at it, fella, I'm sure you'll get better.

Thanks, and have fun!

Chliz responds:

Thanks for the review. This is my first time trying to make an actual tropical house song so i turned to nexus for most of the sounds. I agree that the kick isn't the best, and I will choose a different kick for tropical later.

Well, definitely unconventional chord progressions.
Sounds pretty lackluster and weird, in a nice way. The part with the organ doesn't sound like it belongs in the song, though. Too "normal" for a somewhat chaotic piano melody. The drums are a bit lacking in my opinion. Doesn't have enough oompf. I like drums with oompf. It sounds like a level of Psychonauts (not as in the actual soundtrack, but from what vibe I feel from the game). I suggest you listen to Alfa Mist, especially his album Antiphon. It's got great jazz progressions and a calm feel, and it's very reminiscent of this track.

Thanks, and have fun!

TaintedLogic responds:

Thanks so much for the review, man! I agree about the drums. I felt like the piece was missing some energy, so I hobbled them together last-minute. I appreciate the feedback about the organ, too - I guess I didn't think about how it vibed with the piano melody in that way. I'll check out Alfa Mist right now! Thanks again for the review. ;)

Well, first off, I find it hard to consider this Video Game music.
Second of all, the percussion and the bass (?) are pretty weird in my opinion and don't go too well with the melody. The melody itself is alright. I'm sure you can get better.

Thanks, and have fun!

ZanderTheBlackCat responds:

Hey thanks for commenting :)
Sure I'll be improving, as you can see this is my first audio... Nothing out of the ordinary.
My goal is to make a great loop, then thanks for the tips!!!
